De La Vega Designs is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Associate to join our team at our showroom located within the New York Design Center in Manhattan, NY. The candidate must be detail oriented and a passionate team member eager to grow and develop sales relationships for a newly established showroom.
As the primary Sales Associate, you will be the first point of contact for our valued clients, ensuring a warm and high-level service experience in all interactions. We aspire to create lasting authentic and positive relationships with our clientele, as this is a defining part of our brand identity. This candidate will play a key role in liaising with our operations team to facilitate order flow as well as manage logistics planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide NY Showroom clients through the product selection process, drive sales to closure, and ensure successful production lead times to service install schedules
- Effectively communicate design philosophy, methodologies, inspirations and brand identity to showroom clients
- Liaise with internal production and operations team to understand order status and coordinate billing and shipping logistics with client and showrooms partners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients through scheduling of showroom appointments or via presentation offsite at the client’s office
- Coordinate sales materials, including but not limited to tear sheets and finish samples, and the distribution between website and showroom partners.
- Maintain showroom’s presentation with various floor sample layout schemes with a keen eye towards hospitality and a welcoming environment
- Develop and implement CRM database to enhance client support and communication, and build contact database
- Develop new and strengthen existing wholesale showroom relationships, including sales training, product updates, floor and finish samples refresh
- Networking and attendance at industry events
- Participate and contribute to marketing strategy development, with insights relevant to building customer base and recommend tools, whether digital or physical collateral, which aid in achieving sales goals and targets
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
- At least 5 years of experience in a sales role, ideally with galleries or luxury furniture
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Passion and knowledge of the design industry
- Availability to work on-site Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
