We're hiring a Lead Designer to drive design execution end-to-end as the studio scales. You'll report directly to Autumn - no layers, no committees - and lead the design phase on select projects from our portfolio. You'll partner closely with our Project Manager,
architects, landscape architects, and consultants, and own the work top to bottom: concept, schematic, design development, documentation, FF&E, presentations, and walkthroughs. Three Design Leads run their own projects alongside you, supported by a
shared bench of junior designers and a Procurement Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
• Lead projects through the full design phase, driving progress, decisions, and alignment across internal and external teams.
• Develop fully realized room designs and complete schemes independently, advancing solutions to final approval within the Creative Director's framework.
• Provide creative direction and feedback to architects, landscape architects, and consultants to ensure a cohesive, integrated vision.
• Produce floor plan options, elevations, and spatial studies; resolve flow, proportion, and site challenges.
• Provide input on exterior architecture and landscape direction to ensure interior-exterior cohesion.
• 10+ years of high-end residential design experience. Hospitality or boutique-luxury hotel background is a meaningful plus.
• Full command of the design process: concept, schematic, design development, construction documentation, construction administration, procurement, and installation.
• Advanced AutoCAD; strong working knowledge of SketchUp and Photoshop. Integration of AI into ideation and visualization workflows.
• Deep knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, detailing, and construction methods.
• Exceptional taste, organization, communication, and judgment.
• Comfortable working autonomously, leading a junior, and partnering as a co-leader with the Project Manager.
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field - or equivalent professional experience.
