Job Description

The Role

Marmi is seeking a dynamic and analytical Relationship Manager to drive sales and client relationships for a luxury brand. This individual will be a sales strategist with experience in the natural stone industry, responsible for building and expanding their territory. This role involves developing new and existing relationships with architects, designers, and contractors. While based in Atlanta, the position requires one week of travel per month and offers one optional work-from-home day per week. The standard work hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, but some work outside this timeframe may be necessary to accommodate clients and networking.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, design, architecture, or a related field, along with at least eight years of outside sales, business development, or sales management experience. Previous experience in the kitchen, bath, or stone industry is highly desired for success. Other key qualifications include:

Communication: Excellent technical, written, oral, and presentation skills particularly within the field of architecture with an ability to read and interpret design plans

Sales Acumen: A track record of driving long-term client partnerships and an ability to manage the closing process professionally.

Self-Management: Above-average time management skills, including time blocking and establishing daily priorities. The ability to manage multiple activities and report consistently on progress is also important.

Networking: A proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, both in-person and virtually.

Industry Knowledge: A thorough understanding of natural stone and its applications is helpful, though this can be taught to an ambitious candidate.

Drive: An entrepreneurial spirit and a personal drive to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).


Principal Accountabilities

Meeting or exceeding sales goals for outreach, proposals, orders, and invoicing.

Monitoring and managing quotes and orders, providing timely and accurate information at weekly sales meetings.

Representing Marmi professionally in demeanor, communication, and appearance.

Driving and tracking leads through outreach, networking, and consistent follow-up.

Completing lead tracking and contact updates in a timely manner.

Expand expertise on stone and Marmi to act as a trusted advisor to clients

Establishing and maintaining professional sales relationships with A&D firms.

Working supportively with internal partners to resolve issues and maintain strong working relationships.
