Ursino Interiors is seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Project Manager / Intermediate Interior Designer to join our growing studio. This is not a passive coordination role — we are looking for someone who takes the wheel, anticipates what’s coming, and keeps multiple complex projects moving at a quick pace.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are organized, coordinated, and delivered at the highest level, working closely with the Principal, Lead Project Architect, and a network of consultants, vendors, and fabricators. This position requires a balance of design understanding and rigorous project management, with an emphasis on follow-through, accountability, and precision. This is a hybrid role requiring approximately one day per week in-office in Colts Neck, NJ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive day-to-day coordination across multiple high-end residential projects simultaneously, keeping every phase moving on schedule
- Produce, organize, and maintain comprehensive drawing sets, schedules, and specifications with a high degree of accuracy
- Translate design direction into clear, buildable documentation for consultants and contractors
- Own the coordination loop with architects, general contractors, millworkers, and specialty vendors
- Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring all milestones are met; flag risks early with ability to drive resolution quickly
- Lead procurement coordination and tracking, including vendor communication, order placement, and status follow-up
- Maintain organized and up-to-date project records across all phases
- Engage in client communications and presentations with clarity and professionalism
- Identify and proactively resolve project issues, maintaining momentum and minimizing delays
- Proactively identify inefficiencies and drive the design and implementation of workflow solutions
- Own the studio materials library — organized, current, and ready to support the team
- 5+ years of experience in high-end residential interior design
- High proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Rhino; Adobe InDesign, Enscape, and hand sketching a plus
- Solid technical command of construction documentation, detailing, and multi-consultant coordination
- Proven track record managing project schedules, budgets, and fast-moving timelines
- Experience running procurement workflows and vendor management; Studio Designer familiarity preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and follow-through
- Clear and professional communication skills in both internal and client-facing settings
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects without sacrificing accuracy or detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
