An interior design firm with a retail storefront in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, GA, is seeking full-time Junior Project Coordinator. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of relevant experience in the interior design industry and possess a proactive and resourceful attitude, with a passion for the logistical and administrative aspects of interior design. Key responsibilities of the Junior Project Coordinator include assisting the Principal Designer and Operations Manager throughout all phases of projects, handling both creative and administrative tasks, and overseeing daily store operations. Essential skills for applicants include strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow through on assigned tasks effectively.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Set up management tools, track, monitor, problem-solve, and assist the Principal and Operations Manager in all phases required to complete the project
- Prepare proposals, purchase orders, and invoices as the Principal and Operations Manager directed
- Prepare design presentations, drawings, elevations, furniture layouts, & procuring design materials
- Schedule deliveries, meet install deadlines, inspect items, & monthly shipping invoices
- Responsible for managing/tracking orders, tracking project tasks, updating schedules, punch lists & spreadsheets daily
- Attend market events
- Manage the office calendar & coordinate meetings
- Log billable time & generate monthly invoices using project management software
- Product research for proposals, reserves products, & requests for additional information
- Communicate effectively with all trade members & vendors
- Manage the material library & samples
- Daily store operations
- Knowledge of retail products, manage retail inventory, unpacking shipments, & e-commerce activities
- Responsible for retail image & high level of quality
- Establish & maintain customer relationships
- Bachelors degree
- 1-2 years prior industry experience
- Proficient in Mac Systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Systems
- Familiarity w/ Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with others & take on responsibility to complete any task
- Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment
- Highly proactive, with strong organizational skills & high attention to detail & deadlines
- Has an upbeat personality & positive attitude
