Job Description

Doniphan Moore Interiors is seeking a highly creative and dynamic Senior Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about design, possess a sophisticated eye for detail, and demonstrate a people-centric attitude. This role requires a leader who excels in both creativity and operations, driving project success while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor the design team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance and support to achieve company goals.
• Studio Operations: Manage day-to-day studio operations and ensure efficiency in workflow.
• Meetings & Communication: Host weekly team meetings, provide operations updates, and follow up with action items.
• Clear Communication: Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey design concepts, project updates, and expectations to clients and team members.
• Project Management: Collaborate closely with the Principal on all project phases, from programming through installation. Provide team communication and oversight for project-wide initiatives.
• Client Engagement: Prepare for and actively participate in client meetings, site visits, and installations.
• Process Compliance & Improvement: Follow company policies and processes, while identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
• Problem-Solving: Proactively identify potential challenges and resolve them in a timely manner while providing expert guidance and support.
• Relationship Management: Develop and manage relationships with team members, clients, vendors, and artisans.
• Time & Documentation Management: Document weekly project activities and track time accordingly.
• Issue Resolution: Address issues as they arise, conferring with leadership when necessary.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field. Architectural background is a plus.
• Experience: 10+ years in high-end residential interior design.
• Extensive knowledge of FF&E selection, including materials, finishes, detailing, and scheduling methods.
• High-level proficiency in AutoCAD for space planning, custom furniture details, lighting, and schedules.
• Skilled experience in InDesign, Revit, or Sketchup. Proficiency in Studio Designer is a plus.
•. Advanced proficiency in CAD, MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong knowledge of luxury design resources, including furniture, fabric, wallcovering vendors, and artisans.
