We are currently seeking an Outside Sales Executive to serve as the trusted partner and primary contact for a portfolio of design-driven clients across an assigned territory outside of Avenue Road Dallas’ local market. This is a field-focused, relationship-led role with a strong emphasis on in-person engagement, market development, and long-term client cultivation.
In this role, you will act as a brand ambassador and design advisor, spending significant time on the road meeting with designers, architects, and private clients in studios, offices, and project sites. Through a consultative, concierge-style approach, you will support clients’ visions while driving sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities:
Acting as the primary point of contact and advisor for clients in the A+D, hospitality, commercial, and high-end residential sectors
Building long-standing client relationships through attentive communication, product expertise, and personalized service
Providing tailored solutions aligned with client vision, needs, and lifestyle
Identifying and developing new business opportunities while nurturing existing relationships
Conducting regular in-person client visits and showroom walkthroughs
Collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution
Maintaining deep knowledge of product offerings, customization capabilities, and vendor collections
Partnering with the leadership on strategy, client engagement plans, and performance goals
Representing AR at trade shows, design events, and industry functions
Accurately tracking sales activity, pipeline, & client interactions through CRM systems
Preparing polished proposals, quotes and presentation
The ideal candidate brings a service-first mindset, a passion for design, and a proven ability to build meaningful relationships with discerning clients.
Required qualifications and competencies include:
5+ years of experience in sales or account management within luxury goods, furniture, or the interior design industry
Experience in a consultative, project-based sales environment with strong attention to detail
A refined, client-focused approach with exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships with high-profile clients and key decision-makers
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities simultaneously
Passion for design, craftsmanship, and curating beautiful spaces, with confidence advising on high-value furnishings
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with CRM systems or SAP is considered an asset
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, with the ability to travel regularly for in-person client visits
Willingness to travel occasionally for vendor meetings, trade events, or internal team gatherings
A second language is considered an asset
