Job Description

We seek a Senior Interior Designer to bridge high-level design with rigorous operational execution. You will lead diverse residential projects—from Deal estates to Brooklyn brownstones—translating "The Art of Living" into tangible environments. This is a growth-oriented role; you will execute projects while leveraging your network to secure new clients. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Technical Leadership
- Concept: Lead creative narratives. Use Miro for charrettes and immersive mood boards to translate client aspirations.
- Documentation: Produce "shop-drawing quality" AutoCAD docs (millwork, stone, lighting). Ensure constructability and code compliance.
- Construction Admin: Act as site lead. Review rough-ins and finishes; troubleshoot field issues to preserve design intent.

2. Project Management & Operations
- Workflow: Manage critical paths in project management software. Ensure milestones are met with precision.
- Procurement: Manage procurement lifecycles (Proposals, POs, Expediting) and strict budgets.
- Efficiency: Maintain 80% billable efficiency and analyze time to minimize bottlenecks.

3. Leadership
- Business Dev: Actively identify and secure new residential projects.
- Mentorship: Supervise Junior Designers as a "Player-Coach" to elevate standards.
- Clients: Manage communications with transparency and professionalism.

Job Requirements

Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of post-graduate experience specifically in the high-end residential sector (NYC experience preferred).
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Business Development: A proven track record of maintaining client relationships and a demonstrated ability or willingness to bring new projects to the firm.

Software Proficiency
- AutoCAD (Expert Level): Non-negotiable. Must be capable of producing complex millwork details and full construction sets.
- Studio Designer: Strong working knowledge of procurement, proposal generation, and expediting modules.
- ClickUp or Other Project Management Software: Experience with agile task management, Gantt scheduling, and resource planning.
- Miro or Other Whiteboard Software: Proficiency in creating digital mood boards and facilitating client presentations.
- Clockify or Other Time Tracking Software: Familiarity with rigorous time-tracking and efficiency reporting.

Core Competencies
- Deep knowledge of interior architecture, custom furniture design, and NYC building codes.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and lead a team.
- Strong presentation skills and the confidence to manage high-net-worth clients.

Compensation
- Base Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 (Commensurate with experience)
- Commission: Competitive commission structure for new business brought into the firm.
