Marc Phillips Decorative Rugs is seeking a motivated Luxury Rug Entry Level Sales Associate to join our New York showroom team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about interior design, enjoys building relationships, and wants to develop a long-term career in luxury sales.

Working directly alongside our Inside Sales Team Lead, you’ll receive hands-on mentorship while learning every aspect of the luxury rug business, including client relationships, product knowledge, project coordination, and consultative selling. This position is designed as the first step in a structured sales career path, offering exposure to the luxury design industry and the opportunity to grow into a Sales Associate role.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Inside Sales Team Lead with client communications, project coordination, and follow-up.
Prepare samples, presentation materials, and showroom resources for client meetings.
Coordinate sample requests, shipments, and inventory for active projects.
Maintain accurate CRM records and client activity.
Participate in client meetings, showroom presentations, and industry events as part of ongoing training.
Learn luxury rug construction, materials, manufacturing methods, and custom production processes.
Assist with showroom events, trade shows, and marketing initiatives.
Develop consultative selling skills through mentorship, observation, and hands-on experience.
Gradually assume increasing responsibility for client communication and project coordination as your knowledge and experience develop.

• Interest in interior design, architecture, textiles, luxury furnishings, or related creative industries.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM software is a plus.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous learning.
• Collaborative team player who contributes positively to company culture.

Previous experience in interior design, luxury retail, hospitality, furniture, or other client-focused industries is welcomed but not required.
