STUDIO KEETA is seeking a creative, ambitious, collaborative Junior Designer with previous residential design experience to join our growing team! This role is freelance (30-40 hrs/wk) with expectations that candidate evolves into full-time role. Partially remote and partially in our Atwater Village studio, this is an exciting and fast-paced position with great clients and a collaborative team.
We are searching for a candidate who is a self-starter, highly organized, has a keen attention to detail, who can creatively problem-solve, and eager to contribute to all facets of the design-process within a boutique studio environment. Possess ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and keep composure under stress. Be proactive when design challenges arise and take responsibility but understand that there is always a solution.
Responsibilities include: drafting technical drawings, including floor plans, renders, and custom furniture plans, sourcing materials, assisting the Senior Designer in preparation for presentations, client + vendor meetings, surveying existing sites and creating drawings for contractors as needed, contributing to design concepts, and assisting with installations, styling, and photoshoots.
Candidate must have strong communication skills – management and interpersonal – engaging with vendors, showrooms, and the team at large. Ability to adapt and thrive in an everchanging business environment. Looking for a candidate excited to grow in their role within an emerging studio!
• Work experience in the Interior Design Industry (1-4 years)
• Degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture is preferred but not required
• Proficient in programs such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite – emphasis on custom furniture / interior floor plans + elevations / spatial renderings
• Knowledge of FF&E
• Knowledge of furniture specifications
• Must be based in Los Angeles with reliable means of transportation
