The ideal candidate is a highly detail oriented self starter who enjoys both the creative and logistical sides of design. You are someone who communicates clearly, anticipates needs, and leads with confidence. This is a hands-on role at the center of our project workflow.
What You'll Do
Design & Documentation
• Prepare and manage quotes, CFAs, shop drawings, and approval packages
• Produce CAD and SketchUp drawings for custom furniture and fixtures
• Build and maintain project schedules including: decorative lighting, paint and wallpaper, stone and tile,
upholstery, window treatments, hardware, and more
• Track schedule changes and keep the architect and contractor current
• Support Project Managers in preparing for client and principal meetings
• Maintain internal documentation and project binders with accuracy and care
Quoting & Procurement
• Obtain and review vendor quotes for accuracy
• Create and manage items in Airtable, including renaming and dating quotes
• Maintain Airtable statuses ahead of vendor payment
• Coordinate pick-up and delivery logistics for US shipments
Install & Site Support
• Create and manage install master lists, coordinate samples and site needs
• Attend installs to assist with mover and vendor oversight as needed
Billing Support
• Code check runs for the DNI purchasing account for Design Director sign-off
• Review reimbursable invoice drafts for client billing and track final approvals
• Develop a working understanding of the billing process to support Project Managers
What We're Looking For
• 2 -4 years of experience in residential design with an emphasis on interior architecture
• Proficiency in CAD and SketchUp; experience with Airtable a strong plus
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail across documentation and scheduling
• Calm under pressure, with a collaborative and proactive approach to the work
• Clear, professional communication with both the internal team, clients, and vendors
