The Junior Designer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Santa Monica, with some work-from-home flexibility. In this position, the Junior Designer supports the principals in developing design concepts, preparing presentations, and producing drawings and documentation. Day-to-day tasks may include sourcing materials and finishes, assisting with space planning, organizing project files, and coordinating with vendors and contractors under guidance. The role also involves maintaining project timelines, updating internal tracking tools, and contributing to client presentations and design reviews. This position is ideal for someone early in their design career who is eager to learn, collaborate, and grow within a professional interiors environment.
Foundational knowledge of interior design principles, space planning, and materials suitable for residential or commercial environments.
Proficiency with industry-standard design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software).
Strong visual communication skills, including the ability to prepare mood boards, presentation decks, and clear design narratives.
Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with teammates, clients, and vendors.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
Relevant education such as a degree or certificate in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Willingness to work in a hybrid arrangement within the Los Angeles area and occasionally visit project sites as needed.
