Job Description

A high-end residential interior design firm in Dallas is seeking a talented full-time, in-office design associate/project manager. We are looking for someone special to join our team! The ideal candidate has a natural eye for design, is motivated and highly organized. This position provides a wonderful opportunity to not only work and grow with an established and well-respected design firm, but to work for exceptional clients. We work on projects of varied scope and style - ground up construction, renovation and remodel, as well as interior design and decoration, from contemporary to traditional. The individual filling this position will be involved in all phases of a project from design development to installation. We need someone who is self-motivated and able to keep up with an exciting and fast-paced schedule. The applicant must have a positive, proactive approach and excellent follow-up skills.

Responsibilities:

• Help develop presentations, schemes and budgets
• Efficient implementation of all assigned projects
• Prepare floor plans, color and material schemes
• Source furniture and accessories for projects
• Project management including creating and managing estimates, purchase orders and budgets
• CAD drawing and hand drafting
• Prepare all documents for purchasing
• On-site coordination
• Efficient coordination of logistics for all aspects of a project, including installations

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Must hold a degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited school
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in residential design/project management
• Must work in-office in Dallas
• Must have beautiful taste, possess integrity, have a strong work ethic, be extremely professional, and enjoy logistics
• Must be able to work efficiently and effectively under deadlines
• Must possess the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
• Knowledge of Studio Designer is an asset
• Must be able to effectively communicate with other design staff, clients and vendors
• Must know AutoCAD
