Job Description

LTK Interiors is looking for a skilled, thoughtful and highly organized Lead Interior Designer or Architect to join our small, close-knit studio in Boston. This person brings a refined design sensibility, strong management capabilities, deep industry knowledge, and thrives in the details. You'll work closely with the founder and Junior Designer across all phases of residential design from concept through construction administration. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience in residential design, is curious and will play a meaningful role in shaping the next chapter of a growing high-end firm. The position starts part-time with a path to full time based on fit. Schedule is flexible hybrid, with 2-3 days in office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead high-end residential projects from conception to completion
- Collaborate closely with Principal to develop and execute design
- Prepare client facing presentation materials with strong visual eye
- Ensure project production aligns with design intent and delivers outcomes that meet project schedules, budgets and expectations
- Produce detailed construction documents - including plans, elevations, millwork, details, and specifications; power and communication locations; reflected ceiling plans; material and finishes; and furniture plans
- Ability to field measure and document existing building conditions
- Source and specify materials, finishes, fixtures, and FF&E
- Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, millworkers, vendors, consultants and trades
- Oversee installations and ensure every detail is executed with precision
- Manage project files and stay organized across multiple active projects

Job Requirements

- 4+ years of professional experience in Interior Design or Architecture
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture or related field preferred
- Ability to create a set of construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Strong FF&E knowledge - sourcing, familiarity with
- Ability to work on multiple projects with various design teams simultaneously
- Excellent clear visual, verbal, and written communications skills
- Experience in leading project teams
REQUIRED SOFTWARE PROFICIENCIES
- AutoCAD (Studio provided Software licensing for in-studio use on PC)
- Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign (Studio to provide licensing if required)
- Knowledge of SketchUp or any 3D rendering program is a plus
- Google Workspace
- Microsoft Suite
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle preferred; must be comfortable traveling regularly to project sites, vendor showrooms, installations, and client meetings (mileage reimbursement provided)
-Own laptop required; Apple preferred
