Scott Sanders LLC is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Interior Design Intern to support our design team and studio operations. This role (approx. 15-20 hours per week) offers hands-on exposure to high-end residential interior design while also supporting the day-to-day functioning of a busy design office.
Design & Project Support
- Support the preparation of client presentations and design documentation
- Help draft and update floor plans, elevations, and FF&E schedules
- Coordinate sample requests and maintain sample inventory
- Assist with gathering invoices and helping process payments on approved client items
- Communicate with vendors on order and shipping status
- Organize and maintain client digital and physical files, including frequent updates to order logs, shipping status, budget tracking, and all related client and vendor documentation
- Research & source furniture, lighting, finishes, textiles, and vendors as needed
- Attend project meetings, site visits, and installations as needed
Studio & Office Support
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment
- Regularly organize and upkeep the firm’s material and sample library
- Run errands (“runs”) including vendor pickups, deliveries, and sample returns
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the design team
Marketing & Social Media Support
- Assist with creating visual and written content for the firm’s social media platforms
- Help plan, schedule, and post content showcasing projects, process, and studio life
- Monitor engagement and assist with organizing digital assets for marketing use
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an Interior Design or related program
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Google Docs, and Adobe Creative Suite required - Working knowledge of SketchUp is a bonus
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage both creative and administrative responsibilities
- Professional communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Interest in high-end residential interior design and studio operations
