Overview

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a competitive, high-energy Account Manager in the Detroit area to sell to our existing and potential customer base. Territory would include Michigan, west Ohio and Indiana. Working in the field in your area, you will call on customers to identify sales opportunities and maximize sales. Continued growth will be a primary determinant of success in this role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

-Aggressively and proactively promote all Jaipur Living product including rugs, pillows, throws, and accent furniture, and merchandising solutions through sales calls and customer location visits
-Serve as the customer's point of contact, working closely with the customer to gain insights into business pains and opportunities
-Regularly contact customers via phone/email and onsite visits, as needed; ensure service on each active account every eight weeks and dormant accounts four to six times per year
-Ensure stores have the proper collateral to maximize their Jaipur Living sales
-Develop new business through referrals, networking, and cold calling
-Utilize all tools and resources provided by the company, including maintaining customer and sales activity data in Salesforce.com
-Attend trade shows to connect with new and existing customers and prospects
-Resolve customer issues and manage/escalate concerns as appropriate
-Take initiative to stay up-to-date on customer and industry trends, competition and product knowledge
-Partner with Marketing, Customer Service, Finance and other departments to support customers
-Create and provide sales reporting on customer and/or product level
-Create and manage opportunities and your pipeline through Salesforce.

Job Requirements

Skills & Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of sales experience or 4 years inside sales and/or account management experience
Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills
Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
Resilience and an ability to overcome objections
Passionate about home décor brands
Proficient in MS Office suite; experience with Salesforce.com a plus
Must be able to attend/work at designated key industry trade shows in High Point, NC as well as others, as deemed appropriate
Self-motivation and self-discipline with excellent time management skills
Previous experience buying/selling fashion consumer products desired – home fashion products highly desired
Remote field sales position – ability to travel to customer and prospect sites and corporate office in Acworth, GA as needed

Physical Requirements:
Remaining in a seated position for long periods of time
Standing is to remain on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about
The ability to alternate between sitting and standing is present when a worker has the flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed when this need cannot be accommodated by schedules breaks and/or lunch period
Lifting and transporting items that could weight up to 25 pounds
Entering text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work to impart oral information to clients and talent and convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately and quickly
