Job Description

Angela Brown Ltd, a respected industry veteran in representing the very best in luxury textiles, wallcoverings, furniture and rugs, is seeking an enthusiastic Inside Sales “Expeditor" to join our established customer service team in NYC.

The Expeditor will play a key role in assisting the customer service team with daily “after sale” operations, including processing payments, managing shipments, providing / monitoring tracking and ensuring the CRM system is updated in real time. This role is perfect for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented and enthusiastic about learning in the design industry. You’ll collaborate closely with the sales team to provide essential support for smooth operations, while also managing your own tasks independently.

Responsibilities:

• Servicing pre-established clients (Architects and Interior Designers) in NYC by, but not limited to, processing payments, releasing orders to ship, providing tracking and managing the shipment to final delivery

• Working alongside our Sales Team and sample departments to assure the clients needs are being met on every level

• Keeping all client / project information organized and up to date in our internal CRM systems

• Jumping in wherever necessary to assure the office is running smoothly and functioning efficiently

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in a work environment. Customer Service experience is a plus but not a requirement

• Excellent English language and written skills

• Basic knowledge of Mac computers and Microsoft Office applications

• Speed, precision and persistence - This is a fast paced position and stamina is key

• Self motivated - This is a service position in a fast paced, luxury industry, so praise isn’t always guaranteed. The ideal candidate is not motivated by praise, but by an internal drive to do the best of their abilities

• Problem solver

• Strong time-management skills with the ability to multi task, and a willingness to adapt to an ever-changing environment

• Enjoys working with a team of like-minded, hard-working peers, and is ready to jump in wherever help is most needed, including backing up colleagues when required

• Communication is key – the Expeditor must thrive in an open and honest environment where ideas are shared, co-workers are supported and encouraged, and egos are left at the front door
