Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, self-starter to join our close knit team as Director of Operations. The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing, managing and streamlining studio operations by implementing effective processes and systems to ensure workflow efficiency across all aspects of the business. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a strong background in project management and creative problem solving with a passion for the design industry. While a background in architecture, interior design, construction or marketing is not required, we believe this experience will allow the right candidate to seamlessly step into this leadership role. The right candidate will be responsible for multiple disciplines such as human resources, systems and operations, company culture, communication and organizational development.

Human Resources - Talent acquisition, staffing and scheduling, recruiting and onboarding, training and development, employee relations and retention. Maintain a culture of open and honest transparency and be a trusted partner for all employees.

Financial Management - Manage studio's budget, monitor financial performance, and optimize profitability. Provide accurate project cost estimates to prospective clients, negotiate contracts and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and processes within the studio.

Project Management - Assign and delegate projects, establish deadlines, and ensure efficiency by guiding and supporting the team ensuring adherence to project requirements.

Client Relationships - Nurture relationships with new and existing clients to understand needs while monitoring project progress, resolve issues, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Marketing Oversight - Oversee the consistency in implementation of our design processes and brand standards ensuring the highest quality standards throughout all aspects of the business.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years project management experience in related industries preferred
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and lead multiple team members and projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify issues and implement effective solutions
• Holds themselves and others to the highest ethical standards
• Possess a passion for design, architecture, and/or construction
• A problem-solver and “do-er”; no task is too small and no stone is unturned attitude
• Proficiency in Design Manager, MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud (Indesign, Photoshop), working knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Ability to work in-person 5 days a week in Raleigh, North Carolina

Salary is commensurate with experience. Candidate must be either a U.S. citizen or have a valid employment visa to work in the U.S. and be located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
