Lucy Doswell Interiors is looking for a Design Associate/Project Manager to join the team in our Charlotte office. We focus on high-end residential design with a number of exciting projects in the works. The ideal candidate will meet the below requirements.
-Oversee all aspects of projects from inception to final installation
-Correspond with clients and vendors on a daily basis with excellent communication skills
-Create client proposals, vendor purchase orders, detailed work orders and finish schedules
-Attend and/or run client and workroom design meetings
-Project manage job sites, contractors, subcontractors and installers
-In depth knowledge of design centers, fabric & carpet resources, antiques and lighting vendors
-Travel where needed for client meetings and site visits
-Draft furniture plans, elevations and floor plans in AutoCAD
-Manage delivery timelines and installations; track purchases and custom orders
-Consistently track all costs and purchases for billing purposes and account reconciliation for bookkeeper
-Assist with office organization such as sample library filing and maintaining client & vendor electronic files
-Assist with organizing project photoshoots
-Minimum 2 years of previous residential interior design experience
-Experience managing job sites & installations
-Must be proficient in AutoCAD
-Proficient in Design Manager or similar design software
-Excellent attention to detail, organization and follow through; able to multitask on multiple projects
-Can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in where needed
-Must be able to travel and have a valid driver's license

Lucy and her team specialize in designing sophisticated yet livable spaces that are layered with antiques, fine art, and accessories. A former interior designer at Ashley Whittaker Design and EPiC Design, Lucy has honed her skills in the trade and worked in the industry for the past nine years. A native North Carolinian, she graduated from Davidson College and lived in New York for seventeen years. Lucy and her husband and their two children recently relocated to Charlotte.

The firm is currently working on and has completed projects, both residential and commercial, in New York City, Long Island, Connecticut, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington D.C. and Maryland.
