Women in the Home Furnishings Industry (WithIt) launched a campaign today that honors female professionals in home furnishings. Known as Women to Watch, the program will acknowledge 39 outstanding professionals who have made noteworthy contributions to their industries and communities. A single recipient will be announced each business day between today and Friday, March 25. All announcements will be made via the organization's Facebook page.
"We're celebrating women in the home and furnishings Industries who bring grace, passion and thoughtful leadership to the table, igniting innovation in everything they do! Get ready for 39 days of fabulous, feisty women," said an organization representative.
Today WithIt honors Kimberly B Knopf for her thought leadership and fearlessness. "At age 23, Kim opened her first store but she didn't stop there. Today her empire spans 2 chains and 85 stores and is a respected and admired leader among her peers. She works closely with her daughter, Karrie Knopf, who we also think is pretty cool!"
