Window designer Armando Guereca talks interiors

Former fashion designer Armando Guereca has been designing in the interior space for years, starting with decoupaging a screen with an 18th-century rose print for a friend’s relative, then on to  styling Scalamandré’s print ads, and later, creating commissioned window displays for Travers New York in the D&D Building lobby.

“I will do a crazy, funny thing, but only with the finest fabrics,” Geureca says of his work. “If you do something whimsical and it’s not tip-top quality, it feels cheesy.”
