With 25 years of experience at Butterfield & Butterfield, Christie’s, Bonhams and Paddle8, Jason Stein has been tapped as West Coast chief curator for Viyet. Stein will oversee the company’s strategic alliances with dealers and auction houses, expanding its vintage and antique categories.

Stein, a generalist appraiser in furniture and decorative arts, as well as a specialist in 20th-century design, launched Paddle8’s online Design auction division. Prior to that, he ran the Innovators of 20th Century Style auctions for Christie’s. He oversaw the Duquette Collections auction at Christie’s, Bonhams and Paddle8.

“As a well-respected voice within the auction world and a preeminent authority on important furnishings of the 20th century, Jason is an invaluable addition to the Viyet team,” said Elizabeth Brown, Viyet CEO. “Jason’s strong relationships with auction houses, dealers, collectors and designers are a huge asset, as we continue to build the premier secondary marketplace for high-end home furnishings.”

“I am thrilled to join the Viyet team and build on the company’s prominence within the furnishings and design world,” says Stein. “Viyet’s white-glove consignment service, which includes in-person assessments, photography, pickup, storage and delivery, has rapidly made them a trusted brand for design enthusiasts across the country.”
