Venice-based textile powerhouse Rubelli has long gleaned inspiration from Venetian architecture and hertiage. This year Rubelli is joining forces with Save Venice Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the area’s artistic heritage, to create a new line of fabrics and wallcoverings inspired by the city. Twenty percent of the line's sales will be donated to the organization.
“As a designer I have long been a fan of Rubelli textiles, and not only because those glorious fabrics are born in my favorite city,” said Matthew White, chairman of Save Venice Inc. “It is thrilling to announce that these two institutions have joined forces in a small but wonderful way. You may bring a bit of Venice into your interior design and restore a bit of Venice while doing so. How perfect is that?”

Save Venice was established in response to the serious damage caused by the November 1966 floods—the highest tide in Venice in the last century. Since then, the organization has raised more than $20 million to restore more than 400 works of art and architecture in the city.
