French furniture retailer Roche Bobois celebrated its 50th anniversary last night at its Manhattan flagship showroom at an event co-hosted by Architectural Digest.

The event marked the official debut of the fall collection by French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier. The showroom also  featured a retrospective of five decades of design including partnerships with Vladimir Kagan, Hans Hopfer, Luigi Gorgoni, Jacques Luzeau, Arnaldo Gamba, Massimo Iosa Ghini, Paola Navone, Christophe Delcourt and Sasha Lakic.

Roche Bobois welcomed approximately 400 members of the design community including AD Editor-in-Chief Margaret Russell, Martha Stewart Set Decorator Robert Diamond, interior designers Darren Henault, Harry Heissmann, Laura Kirar, among others.

The celebration is timed appropriately with the launch of the company's design professionals' website, which offers tailored service, innovative tools and advanced applications such as 20/20, tearsheets, and a focus blog on complete design projects.
