Nearly 7,500 entries from 53 different countries were tallied for this year's Red Dot Award: Communication Design contest, with 568 projects winning a prestigious Red Dot distinction. The award spanned 17 categories—among them, social responsibility, corporate design and identity, typography and apps—and recognized excellence in each area.

“The creative industries are experiencing a period of growth. Ever-new trends in digital communications, but also in event and print, lead to greater diversity and create new specialty areas,” Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of the Red Dot Award, said. “Based on its international expertise and evaluation of the Red Dot Award: Communication 2015, our jury can confirm this trend, not least because of the now record number of entries and a noticeable increase in quality. Their achievements show that the winners can go beyond the industry standards.”

The winners will be feted in the Red Dot Gala and Designers' Night, both held on November 6. Learn more online.
