Pratt Institute’s annual fundraiser, Legends, which supports merit- and need-based scholarships, will honor architect William T. Georgis, world-renowned sculptor Angela Conner, and InterArch founder Shirley Hill for their work. Michele Oka Doner, artist and author, will deliver the award to Georgis; Caroline Baumann, director of Cooper Hewitt, will present to Conner; and Roger Farah, co-CEO of Tory Burch will present to Hill.

This year, an auction led by Gabriela Palmieri, chairman of Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s, will showcase items donated by prior Legends honorees, including Iris Apfel, photographer William Wegman, and photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, producer of the upcoming HBO documentary film The Trans List.

The event, to be held at the Mandarin Oriental New York on November 16, will honor each of the Legends recipients with a student-designed award; this year’s was created by Pratt Industrial Design student Megan Lighty, with the guidance of faculty adviser Alvaro Uribe of Alvaro Uribe Design.
