This year’s WESTWEEK (March 25 to 26) will mark the Pacific Design Center’s 40th year as an international design destination and Los Angeles architectural landmark, and to celebrate, Architectural Digest’s Editor in Chief Margaret Russell will give the opening keynote, a panel discussion featuring Alexa Hampton and Michael S. Smith.
Other featured keynote presenters will represent leading industry editors and tastemakers, including Geoffrey Bradfield, Julia Buckingham, Barry Dixon, Pamela Jaccarino, Mary McDonald, Melissa Goldstein, Oliver Furth, Nicci Solomons, Joan Behnke, Hagy Belzberg and David Hertz.

In addition, PDC will present the Stars of Design Awards for the 20th year on March 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The celebration will commemorate 20 years and close to 200 honorees in art, architecture, interior design, landscape design, photography and graphic arts. Attendance is by invitation only.

The market will feature more than 100 showroom programs, new product debuts, receptions and open houses. Wednesday highlights include: a conversation between Suzanne Kasler and the editors of California Homes; a panel discussion entitled Design in the Digital Age presented by Crestron Electronics and California Home+Design, featuring Justina Blakeney, Jaime Derringer, Christian May and Brendan Ravenhill; and events introducing new collections by showrooms including Edelman, Lee Jofa, Michael Taylor Designs, Stark Fabric and Summit Furniture. Donghia will present their 2015 Elitis Collection, and Reagan Hayes and Erin Gates of decor blog Elements of Style will present to designers on how to use social media platforms to grow their brand and reach new clients. Also not to be missed: TV personality and industry head hunter Stephen Viscusi will moderate a talk show-style discussion called Secrets to Becoming the Next Celebrity designer. This event will begin with lunch at 12:30 in Holly Hunt, Suite B377, and the subsequent discussion will feature a surprise celebrity guest.
