For the past ten years, mid-March has proven to be one of the busiest weeks of the year for the New York interior design community. In an effort to make the lives of design professionals a little easier and to show New York as a leader in art, architecture and design, the city's official marketing and tourism organization NYC & Company has branded the week of 13-21 The New York Design Festival.

The first-annual Design Festival is anchored by the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, DIFFA’s Dining by Design and The Artist Project New York. The line-up includes exhibitions, educational programming and special events including the AIPAD Photography Show New York  at the Park Avenue Armory, and 7 West Designer Day.
