The power of two is never more appealing than with new product collaborations. An established manufacturer paired with a noted designer is bound to create a buzz, and this season luxury brands of all sorts are teaming up with creatives happy to lend their signature style to furniture, lighting, fabrics and accessories. The market is full of these inspired partnerships, and as part of an ongoing series, Editor at Large is highlighting a number of these unions ready to make it official.

Read on for a closer look at what’s coming down the pipeline from Arteriors, Global Views, SA Baxter, Profiles, Studio Four NYC, Out & Out Original, Wendover Art Group and Leftbank Art.

Jay Jeffers

Arteriors has announced its latest licensing partnership with San Francisco-based interior designer Jay Jeffers. The Jay Jeffers Capsule Collection for Arteriors will feature an assortment of accessories designed for home entertaining, all of which will reflect Jeffers’ signature style and distinct design sensibility. The collection will include barware, trays, and the perfect accent tables for drinks.

“Jay is a distinguished interior designer with a unique flair that we can’t wait to add to the Arteriors offering,” said Mark Moussa, founder and creative director of Arteriors. “His fresh and adventurous aesthetic is a great fit for the Arteriors brand."

The Jay Jeffers Capsule Collection will be introduced in late 2015.

Julia Buckingham

Global Views has teamed up with interior designer Julia Buckingham of Buckingham Interiors + Design for a collection of furniture and accessories due out in Fall 2015. For Julia Buckingham for Global Views, the designer called upon her expertise in 20th-century design and antiques to create a line that is simultaneously contemporary and heirloom-inspired.

“My collection for Global Views is inspired by all those wonderful items that I’ve found over the years, with the look and feel that it was a lifetime in the making,” Buckingham said.

Buckingham, according to Global Views founder and CEO David Gebhart, is “the perfect partner for Global Views. She is fresh, excited, and relevant to this moment. […] I believe customers, both interior designers and retailers, will be blown away by her personality as it shines through in her designs for us. I cannot wait to get her designs into the hands of our artisans around the globe. I'm sure that the results will be awe-inspiring."

David Scott for SA Baxter

This season, SA Baxter has debuted the Kalahari Suite, a hardware collection developed in collaboration with interior designer David Scott. Scott decided to study macro and microelements found in the landscape of the African savannah: the sleek line of a tree against the setting sun, a curve in the river, or the simplicity of round forms created by nature.

Scott explained that he partnered with SA Baxter because "they produce the finest bespoke hardware in the business."

The SA Baxter engineering team worked closely with Scott to change the way the hardware interfaces, allowing for the rosette to appear as if it is growing out of the door. It's all an attempt to integrate a piece's style and function, thereby “revolutionizing the way we think about hardware.”

Patrick Dragonette collection for Profiles

Patrick Dragonette was the latest interior designer to create a new line of furniture, lighting and accessories for Profiles. His collection encompasses more than a dozen table lamps inspired by natural materials, as well as chairs, coffee tables, floor lamps, mirrors and more. The pieces are all available in the Profiles showroom in the New York Design Center.

Anthony George for Studio Four NYC

Designer Anthony George of Anthony George Home Inc. has teamed up with Studio Four NYC to create the Lagoa textile line. The collection is made up of eight patterns in 16 color-ways and is now available in the New York showroom.

London-based Duffy London, founded by Christopher Duffy, has joined forces with Daniel Fairburn, director and founder of Out & Out Original, to create a quirky piece of sustainable furniture. Duffy London is renowned for its off-the-wall, idiosyncratic ideas. The firm also emphasizes eco-credentials; both designers use sustainable materials and mediums for the core of their designs.

“When we decided to work together, the MK1 transforming table became the starting point for our mutual appreciation for smart design,” Fairburn said. “The design, created by Duffy London, has been part of their repertoire for several years even before we agreed to license the production of the design in both Walnut and Oak for the British consumer. “

The table will be available for purchase starting Jan. 1.

Barclay Buetra for Leftbank Art

In addition to furniture and accessories lines, a few designers dabbled in art collections this season as well. Both Allison Paladino and Lillian August teamed up with the Wendover Art Group to debut new pieces at High Point Market, while interior designer Barclay Butera debuted a line at Market with Leftbank Art.
