The Cottages & Gardens website has a refreshed appearance. Designed as a companion for C&G’s four regional publications, the website now showcases larger images, a newly added navigation tool and a cleaner design. Visitors can search through the brand’s home tours by style and by region, and sort through products from top regional retailers and showrooms.
“Our readers devour the glossy, oversized pages of our print magazines,” says CEO Marianne Howatson, “and now they will be able to count on our mobile site as another source of inspiration for when they are on the go. We anticipate that the expanded experience will attract new readers as well as advertisers.”
The magazine last year experienced a 420 percent rise in digital advertising revenue, as a result of partnerships with Design Within Reach, Wayfair, PIRCH, Lillian August, Ring’s End, Garnet Hill, Frank Webb’s Bath Center and Connecticut Best Plumbing Tile & Stone. “In 2016, we will continue to focus on new ways to engage our growing audience across all platforms,” says Howatson. “This includes video, additional e-commerce offerings and an even stronger focus on social media.”
