Christie’s is launching Living with Art, a new sales platform focused on providing “a modern, fresh take on how to live with decorative and fine arts.” About six Living with Art sales will take place per year in New York, with the first two unfolding over October 7 and 8. The new sales will home in on a well-edited group of objects. With its interior photos and styled images, the Living with Art catalogue is styled like a magazine.

Interior designer Stephen Sills is curating the October 7 sale, an 84-lot private collection for a private Midwestern home. At a panel discussion at Christie’s during the auction preview, he will discuss how to create an eclectic furniture collection and how to decorate with fine art in mind. The October 8 sale, a private collection from a Montecito estate, offers Italian and French furniture hailing from the famous Hollywood Hills home Castillo del Lago and Hesperides, the Montecito house formerly owned by Wright S. Ludington. Find the Living with Art catalogue here.
