2024 has arrived, and with it comes an array of fresh launches to keep us inspired while we count down the days to Maison&Objet and Déco Off, which kick off in Paris later this month. From fringe-lined sofas to shimmery mountainscape murals, here are some highlights from the latest round of releases.
Serax’s furniture collab with Belgian fashion designer Ann Demeulemeester is on full display at the Garde New York showroom. The collection spans 18 ultramodern designs bedecked in eye-catching, avant-garde details, including a black-and-white sofa lined in extra-long fringe, a stained oak wood stool with a cross-shaped base, and a velvet-upholstered lounge chair on an elevated solid-oak-plank base.
In honor of its 10th anniversary, Calico Wallpaper added new colorway options to three of its inaugural collections, Wabi, Night and Lunaris. The first is now offered in greenish-gray Lagoon and neutral Taupe, while the second is available in olive-hued Peridot and amber-colored Copper, and the third in silvery Polaris and deep blue Tide.
Jiun Ho’s Nagomi collection is a love letter to garden botanicals. The series features eight finely woven textiles inspired by the flowers and vegetables growing in the designer’s Sonoma County backyard, including the double-layered Ikebana and an embroidered linen adorned in an intricately stitched tree motif named Daisugi.
Innovations launched an atmospheric series called Perspective. Available in multiple colorways, the collection spans six painterly wallcovering designs based on natural landscapes, including the mountaintop-themed Summit—which boasts bold swirls of paint applied over a pearlescent fabric-faced vinyl—and the waterfall-like Falls, adorned in cascading brushstrokes of color atop a clean white background.
London brand Miminat Designs premiered a brutalist-inspired collection called Borris. The capsule spans 10 industrial-style furnishings dressed in geometrical silhouettes and raw materials, such as a marble- and tinted-glass–topped dining table and a striking linear pendant light made from cast aluminum.
Multidisciplinary Italian design studio Draga & Aurel dropped the Flare collection, an exclusive collab with Todd Merrill Studio. The insanely cool series references everything from Space Age design to minimalism and op art, and includes six sculptural, multicolored Lucite tables—and the coordinating Totem—that change hues from different angles.
Los Angeles designer Alison Palevsky teamed up with Thomas Hayes Studio for the AP dining chair. The Art Deco design showcases soft curves and eye-catching gold accents, and it features a crisscrossed solid wood base with slightly angled legs for an added dash of drama.
Bernhardt’s latest releases, the Blitz chair and Border side table, are proof that curves are here to stay. The former reimagines the classic cafe chair with a gently arched back and ergonomic cushioned seat, while the latter draws inspiration from the shape of ice skates and features a sleek, 14-inch-deep rounded wood frame that’s slim enough to slide into even the smallest sliver of space.
Beloved kids brand Cybex released the Lemo Learning Tower. Available in three chic colorways at Pottery Barn Kids, the shapeshifting design can be configured in multiple ways to provide ergonomic support for children ages 1 to 5, and it can be attached to an existing Lemo chair—no tools necessary.
Ege Carpets debuted the She collection in collaboration with Denmark-based designers Laura Bilde and Linnea Blæhr. Crafted from pure organic wool, the launch offers six plush styles punctuated by bold Bauhaus-inspired motifs, such as the polka-dotted LB1, the trippy checkered LB5 and the loosely striped LB2.
