CB2 is teaming up with Domino and the online design platform Havenly to launch Studio CB2, an interior design service that will offer CB2 customers reasonably priced, professional interior design for their homes. The three brands will pair shoppers with designers who fit their personal style via Havenly’s Style Quiz. Professional designers will then create their rooms using products from CB2, Domino and hundreds of other home furnishing vendors, with shoppable 3-D renderings. Customers can purchase the entire room or pick out individual pieces.

“We considered pursuing design services for years, but because our customers decorate their spaces with a variety of influences and brands, we wanted to pioneer a fresh, innovative approach,” says Alicia Waters of CB2. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Domino and Havenly on this unique program that will expose our customers to professional designers at an affordable price in a fun, online format. Havenly’s designers will guide our customers to home design that helps them unleash their unique style and creativity.”

The full design package starts at $185 and includes features like 3-D renderings, a concierge buying service, one-on-one designer conversations, and personalized recommendations. The $185 fee will also include a $50 credit toward product. Designers and clients can speak by phone but largely will correspond digitally through the online platform, using a dashboard that allows for back-and-forth discussion.

“Interior design services are historically a luxury that was affordable to only the very few,” explains Nathan Coyle, CEO of Domino. “At Domino, we believe in the democratization of design—and strive to provide our community with high-quality products and services that are accessible.”

“What’s so unique about our service is that it’s completely customized to the client’s personal taste,” says Emily Motayed, co-founder of Havenly. “Working virtually with an interior designer makes the process easy and effortless for the homeowner so they can shift focus and enjoy the redecorating experience.”

In tandem with Studio CB2’s launch is an in-store event, to be hosted at the CB2 SoHo location on September 20, introducing customers to the new program. The store will also host an ongoing series of monthly interior design workshops with design tips from Havenly and Domino experts.
