From an annual summer showhouse to biannual trade shows—and not one but three Business of Home designer workshops—read on for our rundown of next month’s industry happenings.

Shoppe Object New York
New York | August 4–6
This biannual home and gift show features hundreds of brands across two downtown Manhattan locations, Skylight at Essex Crossing and Pier 36, where attendees shop from a selection of homeware, ceramics, furniture and more. NY Now Summer Market
New York | August 4–7
Taking place at the Javits Center, this event connects hundreds of national and international brands and their new collections with buyers from around the world. Categories range from beauty, wellness and stationery to home decor and tabletop, and attendees are invited to partake in an array of activations, panels and happy hours. A highlight of this season’s lineup is a presentation on how independent retailers can use AI to improve their businesses. For more information, click here.

BOH Workshop: “What Luxury Means: How to Sell High-End Design to Your Clients”

In this workshop from Business of Home’s Launch series, Los Angeles–based showroom expert Thomas Lavin explains why high-end design is a worthwhile investment and how to convey to your clients what makes those bespoke furnishings so special. Holiday House Hamptons Designer Showhouse
Bridgehampton, New York | August 11–September 8
At this annual designer showhouse, about 20 of the industry’s top interior designers transform a home to showcase cutting-edge design. This year’s event takes place in a 6,000-square-foot Bridgehampton home overlooking a 100-year-old apple orchard. Proceeds support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
