Four emerging designers have been chosen for the Design Museum's eighth annual Designers in Residence program, including Chris Green, Stephanie Hornig, Hefin Jones and Alexa Pollmann, with each invited to reimagine one of the museum's galleries under this year's theme of "Migration." Hornig, for one, focused on transforming furniture by rethinking the meaning of home and the purpose of furniture in a world that seems to be growing smaller and more flexible. Her design includes domestic furniture that adapts to different purposes for its owner’s home and work life.
