Veranda unveils The House of Windsor in L.A. next week
By Staff

VerandaUnVeils: The House of Windsor is the brainchild of designer Windsor Smith, who, with help from an impressive roster of talented Los Angeles–based designers and Veranda magazine, built a home that redefines luxury for a whole new era in a city that in many ways embodies the American ideal.

Participating designers include Candace Barnes, Stephen Block, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Peter Dunham, Richard Hallberg, Kathryn M. Ireland, Paul Robbins, Richard Shapiro and Tara Shaw.

"We call it a concept house, but it’s really more than that. It’s an intersection of heartfelt ideas and sophisticated execution, with results that are at once soulful, stylish and enlightening," said Veranda Editor in Chief Dara Caponigro.

On Wednesday, June 29, Veranda will host an exclusive gala event for an advanced look at The House of Windsor. The evening benefits Children's Action Network & P.S. ARTS. The host committee includes Pam & Alan Bergman, Linda Daly & Mike Alexander, Brad & Colleen Bell, Roger Birnbaum, Kim Delaney, Bettina & Glen Duval, Ari & Sarah Emanuel, Susan Harbert, Debra Farentino & Gregory Hoblit, Susie & Brad Krevoy, Norman and Lyn Lear, Sean & Serena Levy, Dave & Alicia Leyrer, Virginia Madsen, Gillian & Sam Raimi, Rene Russo, Mike & Jennifer Schiff, Susie & Jon Sheinberg, Jason Sloan & Embeth Davidtz Sloan, Julia Sorkin, Susan Woods, and Cynthia Sikes Yorkin. Tickets for the Gala are $250 and may be purchased online at Houseofwindsorgala.eventbrite.com.

The House of Windsor is open Thursdays through Sundays July 1–17 with tickets available onsite for $35 or online for $30. The room designs will be featured in the October issue of Veranda available September 20.
