JANUS et Cie has an opportunity for an exceptional Vice President of Hospitality Sales to join our team. Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Hospitality Sales is responsible for the strategy of the sector and leadership of the hospitality sales team in the Americas, comprising of 30 direct and indirect reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and execute sales strategy for the hospitality sector; identify and develop sales growth opportunities
• Develop new Key Account relationships and business
• Negotiate, manage, and monitor all client Brand standards
• Further develop the organizational structure, talent, and skills necessary to grow the business
• Develop and execute the sector’s annual sales plan
• Develop and monitor individual sales plans
• Motivate, cultivate and mentor a high-performing sales team
• Increase client awareness of product offerings through presentations, special events, promotional activities, and marketing outreach
• Represent and manage JANUS et Cie’s presence at relevant conferences, trade shows and major presentations
• Develop and manage specific event calendars and budgets
• Keep up to date on current and emerging trends, markets, and competitors
• Communicate and advocate sector needs to the internal team
• Work and collaborate effectively with sales leaders and all other functional areas of the business
• Partner with the Marketing team to effectively promote, protect, and enhance the Brand
Experience, Skills, and Attributes
• B.A./B.S. degree required; MBA is a plus
• 7+ years of successful high-end hospitality sales management or high-end hotel development and operational experience
• Hands-on, results-oriented leader with a proven track record of successfully developing sales teams to their fullest potential
• Proven ability to develop, implement and lead successful strategies and tactics to grow sales and increase market share
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a diverse team environment while adhering to high ethical standards
• Proven ability to build strong, effective relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• In-depth knowledge of key industry players including A&D firms, Purchasing Agents, Brands, and Ownership/Management Groups
• Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Experience with and ability to travel, both domestically and internationally
