Job Description

Location:
● UK based candidate, London area preferred
● Remote
● Approximately 25% travel for territory sales trips and industry events, may change
based on company needs
● Territory includes EU market

Essential Functions:
1. Sales and Client Relationship Management:
Represent Calico Wallpaper with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Identify and engage new clients through outreach, networking, and events while nurturing existing relationships.
Schedule and deliver product presentations that address client needs, follow up on leads, prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales efficiently.
2. Territory and Business Management:
Analyze market trends, competitors, and client feedback to identify growth opportunities.
Manage and grow new and existing business to meet or exceed sales targets.
Maintain accurate records of client libraries and ensure current samples and collateral are available.
Process and track sample orders, estimates, invoices, and payment confirmations promptly.
3. Client Service and Support:
Deliver best-in-class service through clear, responsive communication.
Confirm orders, address questions, and ensure timely follow-through from quote to delivery.
Attend weekly sales meetings and present territory recaps highlighting results and opportunities.
4. Event Representation and Participation:
Represent Calico Wallpaper at trade shows and industry events.
Prepare and present displays, engage attendees, and build meaningful connections with designers, architects, and influencers to expand brand visibility and generate new leads.
5. Leadership & Team Development:

Coach and mentor your team through regular check-ins, feedback, and skill-building.
Ensure team members maintain product knowledge, understand sales processes, and communicate effectively with clients.
Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture that reflects Calico Wallpaper’s values and commitment to excellence.

Job Requirements

Experience: Minimum 7 years of textile or wallcovering sales experience.
Attitude: Energetic, positive, and solutions-oriented.
Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively within a team.
Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
Analysis: Strong ability to identify and act on growth opportunities.
Customer Focus: Responsive, service-driven mindset.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills.
Technology: Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, and ERP/CRM systems.
Work Environment: Hybrid. Reliable transportation, internet, and ability to travel for client visits and trade events required.
