We are seeking a driven, connected, and entrepreneurial Sr. Contract Sales Manager to lead the launch and growth of a new division focused on contract sales across the East Coast, based out of New York City. This role is responsible for rolling out our Trade Exclusive Program, targeting high-value commercial, hospitality, multifamily, and retail projects, and building strong partnerships with top-tier architects, designers, specifiers, and developers.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a new vertical within a globally respected brand. The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional with a robust A&D network, a deep understanding of the contract market, and a self-starter mentality to build this arm from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Launch & Lead: Spearhead the rollout of Armadillo’s Trade Exclusive Program and establish a strong contract presence across the East Coast.
- New Business Development: Identify and secure new contract accounts in the commercial, hospitality, multifamily, and retail sectors.
- Relationship Management: Leverage existing industry relationships and build new connections within the architecture and design community.
- Strategic Partnerships: Partner with leading firms on large-scale commercial projects, driving specification and sales growth.
- Brand Representation: Serve as a passionate brand ambassador, educating clients on our sustainable mission and premium product offering.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, operations, and marketing teams to support client needs and project timelines.
- Market Engagement: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to elevate Armadillo’s presence in the commercial design space.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, design, or related field—or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of proven success in outside sales, business development, or contract sales—preferably in the luxury interiors or hospitality design industry.
- A strong existing network within the A&D community (designers, architects, specifiers, purchasing agents, developers).
- Experience working with or selling into commercial and hospitality sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to build a business from the ground up, including setting strategy, identifying opportunities, and executing.
- Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Involvement with industry associations such as NEWH, IIDA, ASID, AIA, IDS is a plus.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout the East Coast to meet clients, attend events, and grow the territory.
