Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Sales Assistant to join our high-end trade showroom team. This role combines in-showroom customer service with outside sales responsibilities to drive engagement, build client relationships, and promote our furniture brands. As a Sales Assistant, you’ll support the Sales team in managing client relationships, guiding clients through the showroom experience, and expanding our reach in the market through outside sales activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional with a passion for high-end design, strong communication skills, and the ambition to grow in a client-facing role.

Job Requirements

In-Showroom Sales and Support (50%)

-Client Engagement: Greet and assist clients visiting the showroom, provide product information, answer questions, and offer personalized design recommendations.
-Product Presentation: Ensure the showroom is always clean, organized, and visually appealing. Set up and refresh product displays to showcase the latest collections and seasonal offerings.
-Sales Support: Collaborate with the Sales team to support client needs, assist with product ad sample sourcing, generate quotes, and manage orders.
-Client Education: Educate clients on product benefits, materials, and care instructions, and assist them in making informed decisions.
Database Management: Maintain and update client records, sales reports, quotes and ensure all data is accurate and up-to-date.

Outside Sales and Market Expansion (50%)

-Lead Generation: Identify new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach to potential clients, including designers, architects, and industry professionals.
-Client Meetings: Conduct scheduled and impromptu visits with clients and prospects to present product offerings, discuss project requirements, and build long-term relationships.
-Industry Events: Attend trade shows, industry networking events, and brand presentations to build industry connections and represent the company in the market.
-Account Management: Regularly follow up with existing and prospective clients to maintain relationships, track project status, and provide ongoing support and updates on new products.
-Sales Strategy Execution: Assist the Sales Manager in implementing sales strategies, achieving sales targets, and identifying areas for growth within the territory.

Qualifications and Skills:
-Experience: sales experience in a luxury or high-end environment, ideally within the design, furniture, or interiors industry preferred but not required
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design, or a related field (preferred).
