Caffrey & Company | Austin, TX | Full-Time, In-Person
Salary: $68,000–$73,000, based on experience
Caffrey & Co is a trade-only luxury furniture showroom in Austin seeking an experienced Order Management Specialist to manage client orders from order placement through final delivery and resolution.
This is a client-facing operations role for someone who is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and an exceptional communicator. The right person will take ownership of logistics, keep clients informed, anticipate issues, respond with urgency, and look for ways to improve how we work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing orders through production, shipping, receiving, delivery, and issue resolution
- Proactively communicating updates, delays, and changes to clients
- Responding promptly and professionally to client questions
- Following up with vendors, freight partners, and receivers
- Updating NetSuite with order and shipping information
- Reviewing freight rates and invoices for accuracy
- Managing damages, RAs, replacement orders, discrepancies, and credits
- Serving as an internal logistics resource for the team
- Identifying and vetting trusted receiving and delivery partners in other markets
- Improving workflows and processes to create a better client experience
Success in this role means clients feel informed and supported, issues are identified early, follow-up is consistent, and orders are actively managed from start to finish.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience in client-facing order management, interior design, furniture/home furnishings, luxury retail, custom products, showroom operations, or a similar high-touch service environment
- Experience managing multiple active client orders or projects from purchase through delivery
- Experience communicating directly with clients regarding delays, damages, changing timelines, or order issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Proactive problem-solving, sound judgment, and a strong sense of urgency
- Strong Apple/MacOS computer skills; NetSuite or similar ERP/order management experience is a plus
- Polished, professional presence with the ability to communicate confidently in a luxury client environment
- Ability to work collaboratively, take ownership, and serve as a reliable resource for the team
- Must be available to work full-time, in person, in Austin, TX
Traditional supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics experience alone is not sufficient unless it includes significant client-facing order management experience.
