George Bass Stage & Design (GBSD) is a luxury home staging and design company serving the Dallas–Fort Worth market. With a large and growing collection of furniture, artwork, rugs, lighting, and accessories, we are seeking an Inventory Specialist to build and manage the systems supporting our next stage of growth.
This newly created role will work closely with our design, operations, warehouse, and installation teams to ensure our inventory is accurately cataloged, priced, located, tracked, and ready to deploy.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain a comprehensive digital inventory database
* Catalog and photograph furniture, artwork, rugs, lighting, and accessories
* Create and maintain SKUs, barcodes/QR codes, descriptions, dimensions, materials, pricing, vendor information, and condition records
* Track inventory availability, location, project assignment, and movement between the warehouse, properties, storage, and trucks
* Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
* Support designers with inventory selections for quotes and moodboards
* Coordinate inventory check-in/check-out for installations and returns
* Inspect returned inventory and track damage, repairs, cleaning, and maintenance
* Help organize warehouse locations and develop inventory SOPs
* Help select, implement, and optimize GBSD's inventory management software
* Develop reports and processes to improve inventory utilization, purchasing, pricing, and logistics
* 2–5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, furniture, design, procurement, logistics, or a related field
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
* Strong technology skills
* Ability to learn and manage inventory software and barcode/QR systems
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and follow-through
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Comfortable working in a warehouse and handling physical inventory
Preferred Experience:
Experience in luxury home staging, residential interior design, furniture rental, furniture/showroom operations, event or prop rental, hospitality FF&E, interior design procurement, or asset management is highly valued.
A design, merchandising, procurement, or related background is a plus. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is systems-minded, highly organized, and genuinely interested in furniture and interiors.
This is an opportunity to build an inventory operation from the ground up and play a key role in creating the infrastructure that will allow a growing luxury staging company to scale.
