Tiny Haven Design is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Intermediate Interior Designer with 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally within residential design. This role supports our design team from concept through installation and requires full-time, in-office presence. The ideal candidate brings strong technical capabilities, a collaborative spirit, and a thoughtful approach to creating meaningful client experiences.
Responsibilities
-Collaborate with senior designers on concept development, mood boards, and presentation materials.
-Source and coordinate FF&E selections, including materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, hardware, and accessories.
-Translate design concepts into technical documentation, including detailed AutoCAD plans, elevations, and millwork drawings. Strong technical skills required.
-Prepare custom furniture drawings as needed.
-Assist with site activities including measurements, documentation, installations, showroom visits, and construction site coordination.
-Produce client-facing presentations and design documents in both digital and physical formats.
-Manage sample libraries, vendor communication, and handoffs to the procurement team.
-Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables under senior designer guidance.
-Take detailed notes during client meetings, showroom visits, and site visits and follow up on action items.
-Play an active role in delivering elevated and thoughtful client experiences throughout the design process.
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
-3-5+ years of experience in Residential Interior Design
-Proficiency in AutoCAD, Canva, Asana, + Studio Designer
-Strong understanding of wholesale vendors and local suppliers
-Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
-Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with ease
-Strong communication and client-facing skills
-Presents a polished, professional appearance that reflects the firm’s elevated brand standards
-Highly adaptable with a positive attitude toward feedback
-Able to pivot quickly and incorporate direction into design execution
-Social media–savvy with an understanding of how to capture and communicate design in a visually compelling way
-Ability to manage job site coordination, collaborate with contractors, and maintain design integrity throughout the construction phase
