PWD is hiring Interior Designers to join our growing design team in Charleston, South Carolina. An Interior Designer is responsible for the detailed support of assigned projects and ensures the discerning fulfillment of all related deadlines and design expectations. This position works collaboratively and closely with the Project Design Managers, the Interior Design Managers, and the studio’s Founder and Chief Creative Officer supporting the overall success of high-end residential projects and select hospitality and commercial projects.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of design experience with an exceptional design sensibility and portfolio, a passion to grow and learn, and a work ethic that personifies the studio’s values of humility, staying hungry, and always hustling.
Role Responsibilities
+ Assist on all project goals through all design phases.
+ Formulate designs independently and collaboratively.
+ Create initial design sketches, color themes, mood boards, and ideas.
+ Develop and produce CAD drawings and furniture plans, presentations, and schedules.
+ Prepare client presentations for the Project Design Manager or Interior Design Manager.
+ Price furnishing, fixture, and equipment plans for clients and create client proposals.
+ Take initiative, problem solve, collaborate & communicate effectively with the team.
+ Prioritize tasks and coordinate completion of multiple projects.
+ Assist the team in sourcing and selecting FFE.
+ Assist and prepare for site visits, client meetings, and furniture installations.
+ Record meeting notes and maintain project binders as the project progresses.
+ Visit job sites to support project management requirements.
+ A Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design at an accredited institution.
+ 2-5 years of relevant industry experience with an exceptional reputation.
+ Technical skills: AutoCad, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Google Suite.
+ Experience working in Studio Designer is a plus.
+ The ability to communicate openly and positively at all times.
+ Very strong communication and organizational skills.
+ A positive outlook and strong work ethic.
