Job Description

Collarte Interiors is seeking a talented interior designer to become an integral part of our creative team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for design, exceptional communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach to working with others. We are seeking someone who is not only passionate about interior design but also demonstrates a strong, consistent work ethic and a dedication to high-quality craftsmanship.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work closely and collaborate with Principal through all project phases from concept to completion
- Develop design concepts, mood boards and presentations to communicate the design vision
- Prepare comprehensive Interior Design construction documents and coordinated schedules and specifications for build
- Source fabrics, furniture, finishes, and lighting consistent with our studio’s aesthetic
- Manage FF&E specifications, schedules, and budgets
- Attend client meetings and site visits, ensuring clear communication and project alignment
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and craftspeople to ensure seamless project installation

Job Requirements

- Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience working in high-end residential interior design and project management
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design or related field from an accredited institution
- Project Management Expertise: Over 4 years of proven experience overseeing projects from concept to installation, with a solid understanding of the entire design process
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a strong focus on detail and professionalism
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, along with strong interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment, adapting to the needs of the principal and the design team
- Multi-tasking: Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Problem-Solving: A resourceful and innovative thinker, able to craft creative solutions to design challenges
- Independence & Teamwork: Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and within a team dynamic
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Ivy
- Preferred Skills: Experience with hand sketching, REVIT, and SketchUp is a plus
- Professional Communication: Strong ability to convey ideas in a polished, professional manner, both in writing and verbally
- Location: Must be able to work in-person from our Coconut Grove office
