We are seeking a motivated and experienced independent sales representative to join our team specializing in multi-line home furnishing sales. We are hiring an Independent Sales Representative in Southern California. As a sales representative for American Leather, you will represent a recognized premium furnishings brand, cultivating enduring relationships with design professionals. This role blends strategic business development with refined client service, requiring an individual who understands storytelling and relationship-driven sales.
You will be responsible for growing your territory through thoughtful prospecting, personalized engagement, and exceptional follow-through—delivering an elevated experience at every client touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop long-term partnerships with interior designers, architects, and trade professionals.
• Identify, prospect, and cultivate new business opportunities through strategic outreach.
• Deliver elevated product presentations that translate craftsmanship, materials, and design intent into client value.
• Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, opportunities, and follow-up plans.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Represent American Leather at client meetings and industry events with professionalism and polish.
• Manage time, territory, and priorities effectively while meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
Experience & Qualifications
• Proven experience selling in the home furnishings industry is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate success in a goal-oriented, commissioned sales environment.
• Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills with the ability to position brand differentiation.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication abilities.
• Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
