* Present and sell KMI’s decorative fabric collections to interior designers, architects, and specifiers across the west coast with a primary focus on the California market (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orange County, San Diego, and surrounding areas)
* Manage the sampling and memo process for your territory, coordinating with our Los Angeles team to ensure timely delivery of swatches and sample yardage
* Identify and develop new business opportunities by introducing KMI to designers in your network who are not yet familiar with our line
* Maintain communication with KMI on territory activity, including new account openings, project opportunities, and market feedback
Represent KMI at relevant regional trade shows and showroom events as appropriate
* 5+ years of experience as an independent or multi-line sales representative in the decorative fabric, textile, or furnishings industry, selling directly to interior designers and the design trade
* An established book of business with active relationships among interior designers on the West Coast, particularly in California
* Deep knowledge of decorative fabrics—fiber content, construction, pattern repeats, and appropriate end uses for upholstery, drapery, and soft furnishings
* Proven experience with sampling and memo programs; you understand how designers evaluate and specify fabrics for their projects
* Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage your own schedule and territory without day-to-day oversight
* Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel throughout California, Oregon, and Washington carrying sample materials
* Strong communication skills and a professional, service-oriented approach to client relationships
Kathryn M. Ireland Textiles & Design is looking for an established independent sales representative to carry our decorative fabric line across the West Coast.
