-You're proficient at both design and sourcing, with a sharp eye for style and strong instincts for functionality and budget.
-You have a modern, organic, textured, and livable aesthetic that aligns with our design philosophy — think warm minimalism, layered neutrals with color through art and accessories.
-You're highly organized, self-starting, and comfortable managing time and tasks independently.
-You’re exceptional at managing up — you take initiative, communicate proactively, and keep projects moving without hand-holding.
-You’re client-friendly, calm under pressure, and confident presenting ideas and updates via Zoom, phone, email, or in person.
Skills & Tools
Must-Have Skills:
-Strong design sensibility and ability to source furnishings, lighting, and decor to suit budget and style
-CAD (2D): confident with floor plans, elevations, and scaled layouts, dimensions
- Proficient with Google Slides (design boards), Google Sheets, Gmail
- Confident measuring on-site and creating floor plans
-Clear written and verbal communication
-Experience reverse-engineering luxe looks to fit budget constraints
-Comfortable overseeing other freelance support or interns
Bonus Skills:
-Photoshop or other visual editing tools
-Familiarity with trade vendors or New York design showrooms
