We’re seeking a detail-oriented FF&E Materials Specialist to join our design and procurement team. This role is integral to ensuring that materials, finishes, and furnishings meet our design intent, quality standards, and project budgets.
Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and recommend FF&E materials, finishes, and furnishings for multiple design projects.
Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and procurement teams to maintain design intent and meet project timelines.
Maintain and organize the materials library, ensuring samples are current, labeled, and accessible.
Communicate with vendors and manufacturers to obtain quotes, samples, specifications, and lead times.
Support FF&E schedules, specification documents, and material boards.
Research new and sustainable products and materials.
Coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, substitutions, or delivery challenges.
Assist with documentation for procurement, installation, and project close-out.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in FF&E sourcing, materials management, or design procurement.
Strong knowledge of textiles, finishes, furniture construction, and fabrication processes.
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, Excel).
Strong communication and vendor relationship management skills.
Passion for design, materials innovation, and sustainability.
