Jeremiah Brent Design is a full service interior design firm that is currently seeking an experienced and meticulous full-time Bookkeeper who can oversee and manage day-to-day financial activity. This individual handles all bookkeeping tasks and accounting procedures in conjunction with the company's Office Director and VP of Operations and Finance, as well as an outside CPA firm.
-Accurately record and categorize all business expenses
-Process vendor and supplier payments weekly or daily, as needed
-Maintain and update financial records in Studio Designer
-Sync and track transactions through Bill.com, ensuring clean, organized reporting processing for all AP
-Collaborate with leadership on cash flow, budgeting, and monthly reporting as needed
-Ensure tax readiness and assist with documentation for annual filings
-Project Accounting: Track costs, budgets, and profitability for each individual design project, including furniture purchasing and procurement
-Sales Tax Compliance: Calculate, report, and remit state sales tax
-Financial Reporting: Reconcile bank/credit card statements and provide monthly P&L statements and balance sheets
-Monitors and manages AP and AR and ensure timely billing, collections, and cost control
-Review purchase orders and procurement packages for financial accuracy and completeness
-Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
-Experience: 8-10 years of experience
-Time Management: ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
-Data Entry: ability to input data accurately and expediently based on information that has been communicated by the design team
-Financial Reconciliation: ability to handle banking and credit card reconciliation from a macro and micro perspective
-Experience with Studio Designer, QBO, and Bill.com
